Day One of the conference will focus on the latest research around educational equity, featuring keynote presentations and breakout sessions by Glenn Singleton, Gary Howard, Zaretta Hammond, Jamie Almanzan, Trudy Arriaga, and Kikanza Nuri-Robins.

Academic Language-Focused Day Two

Day Two of the conference, co-sponsored by the Institute of Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Teaching (ICLRT), will focus on equipping all teachers with the linguistic knowledge and skill to help students use the language associated with the academic discourse of school subjects. Day two will feature sessions led by Noma LeMoine, David and Yvonne Freeman, Margarita Calderon, and Ivannia Soto.

The registration fee for both days of the conference OR day two of the conference includes the participant’s choice of two books from the Academic Language Development for English Learners and Standard English Learners series.
