Words of the Champions: Your Key to the Bee is the official study resource from the Scripps National Spelling Bee. This resource will help prepare spellers for a 2022 or 2023 classroom, grade-level, school, and the 2023 SAGE Ventura County Spelling Bee. All words in this guide may be found in the official Bee dictionary, Merriam-Webster Unabridged.
School Spelling Bee Coordinators at enrolled schools have free access to a downloadable PDF version of Words of the Champions by logging in to spellingbee.com.

To help spellers master Words of the Champions, we highly encourage you to download the Word Club app for mobile devices and tablets. Spelling and vocabulary quizzes for all 4,000 words in the Words of the Champions study booklet are available within the app free of charge.
To keep your spelling champ motivated, they can use the app to play games, take quizzes and complete activities that feature pronunciations from Dr. Jacques Bailly, the Scripps National Spelling Bee’s official pronouncer.
